一、自学Part A部分,了解连词although/though用法。
1.although/though意思是:___________________,although比though更为__________,两者可随意换用。
如:Though he was tired, he went on working.  =_________ he was tired, he went on working.  
2. although和though引导的从句放在主句前后均可,有时还可放在句中。
   如:He often helps me with my English (al)though he is quite busy. 
3. although, though引导的从句不能与but, however连用。
  试一试:I still feel cold. I wear warm clothes.(用although连接成一句)

二、预习Part B部分,了解so…that 和such…that用法。
1.so…that 意思是:_________________,so后边可加_____词或____词;
  so+adj./adv.+that clause
  He runs_______fast _______ nobody can catch up with him. 
如果so…that引导的从句是肯定句,主、从句主语相同,一般可以用 “形容词/副词
+enough to do sth.”改为简单句。
    Peter is so tall that he can reach the top of the blackboard.
    =Peter is _______  _______  _______ reach the top of the blackboard.
  2)如果so…that引导的从句是否定句,主、从句主语相同,一般可以用
   “too+形容词/副词+to do sth”改为简单句。
He got up so late that he didn’t catch the early bus.
=He got up_______  _______  _______ catch the early bus.
2.such…that与so…that 意思相同,但用法不同,such后边要用____词。
  1)such+a(an)+adj.+单数可数名词+that clause 
    He is _______a clever boy _____ everybody likes him. 
  2)such+adj.+复数可数名词+that clause 
    They are _______ interesting novels_______ I want to read them once again. 
  3)such+adj.+不可数名词+that clause 
  He has made _______great progress_______ the teachers are pleased with him. 
    改写:He is so good a doctor that everybody loves and respects him. 
  ___________________________________________ (用such…that改写) 
★★★注意:如果such后边的名词前由many、much、few、little等词所修饰的话,
        则不用        而用          。
例如:He had             (如此多) falls that he was black and blue all over. 
      He had             (如此少)education that he was unfit for this job. 
三、自学课本100页内容,了解so that 用法。 
1.so that意思是_________,引导一个表示目的的状语从句,可与          换用;从句谓语中常用情态动词 may/might, can/could, should, would 等;主从句间连接紧凑,没有逗号相隔。
Eg: I spend more time learning English             I can make greater progress this year.
 =I spend more time learning English _____ _____ _____I can make greater progress this year.
2.试一试:用so… that或 such … that填空
